What products does S.P.I. manufacture? Our product line includes:
- Prestressed Joists (8”, 12”, 16”, 20”, 24” & 28” Depths)
- Prestressed Soffit Beams (16” & 24” Widths)
- Hollowcore Slabs (8” & 10”)
- Double Tees (16” & 24”) , Inverted Tee Beams, Elle Beams, Rectangular Beams and Precast Columns.
What is your territory? S.P.I. covers the entire state of Florida. We have shipped precast members as far north as the Florida/Georgia Border. We have also shipped precast in barges to the Islands in the Caribbean.
How long does the estimating and pricing process take? Estimating process can take approximately 2 weeks due to lot of jobs we have to take care of. Time also depends on the project type, details, building shape and how large the project is.
What is your lead time? Lead time varies depending on our Production Backlog and the type of product required. Shop Drawings take approximately 2 to 4 weeks and product delivery usually takes 4 to 8 weeks from receipt of approved shop drawings. Contact SPI Sales Department for current lead time information.
Does SPI provide Value Engineering/Design-Build? Along with our consulting engineers and detailers we have over 60 years combined experience in the Precast/Prestressed Industry. Our staff is available to assist the design professionals from the conceptual design all the way to the working drawings.
What type of construction are your products specified for? Our precast members can be utilized in all types of construction. Precast concrete can emulate any design calling for cast-in-place concrete. Some of the typical applications for our products are schools, hospitals, condominiums, hotels, motels, parking garages, storage facilities, warehouses, etc.

In regards to a joist system, what is the formwork you provide? S.P.I. will furnish and erect the structural prestressed concrete joist (P.C.J.) spaced as shown. Where P.C.J. frame into a poured in place beam, S.P.I. will install the vertical closure unit forms at the end of the joists equal to the depth of the joists. We will form between the joist for the composite slab and strip our form work. S.P.I. will also furnish and install the prestressed soffit beams as depicted on the beam schedule.
